Three Way Conference
On 31 August 2024, students sat down with their parents and teachers and ran the meeting themselves - setting the year's goals out loud, in their own words. It was Raya's first Three-Way Conference.

The Student Runs the Meeting
Most parent-teacher meetings happen about the student. This one happened with them - and they led it.
On 31 August 2024, Raya held its first Three-Way Conference. Each student walked their parents and teachers through what they were good at, what they found hard, and how they learned best, then the three of them built a plan for the year from there.
The format does one thing a report card can't: it puts the student in charge of their own goals while the two sets of adults who matter most are in the same room, hearing the same thing. No surprises later. No gap between what home expects and what the classroom sees.
It set the tone for the year, and it's now how every year starts.

Raya is easier to understand in person.
