Leadership & NEASC Readiness at Raya

At Raya, the work of building a future-ready school extends beyond classrooms and curriculum. It is shaped by the way we lead, reflect, collaborate and continuously raise the bar for ourselves as a learning community. As we continue to evolve as an IB Continuum school, we welcomed Dr. Darlene Fischer for an engaging session on leadership and NEASC readiness, creating an opportunity for our leadership and faculty teams to pause, reflect and look closely at the systems, practices and culture that shape the Raya experience.

The session explored leadership as a shared responsibility and NEASC readiness as an opportunity for meaningful school-wide reflection and growth—not simply a milestone to be achieved. Dr. Fischer brought valuable perspectives on building clarity of purpose, strengthening institutional practices, fostering collaboration and creating a culture where continuous improvement becomes part of everyday school life. The conversations encouraged our teams to examine what we do, why we do it and how we can continue to strengthen our impact on student learning and development. For Raya, this is an important part of the journey: building with intention, leading with curiosity and creating the rigour, resilience and reflective practice needed to keep moving forward.
