Our Learning Philosophy

At the heart of our pedagogy lies the belief that education is an ever
-evolving journey, a seamless continuum that transcends traditional
boundaries. The IB framework provides the foundation, offering a
comprehensive curriculum that encourages critical thinking, curiosity, and a
holistic understanding of the world.

Yet, we don't merely follow a curriculum; we dance with it. Inspired by the
concept of flow, we strive to create an environment where students are not
passive recipients of information but active participants in their learning.

Primary Year Programme (PYP)

• Transdisciplinary units of inquiry
• Student agency at every stage

Life at the school

Young boy in helmet and pads performing a skateboard trick at a skate park with palm trees and cloudy sky.
Sports & atheltics
Sport here isn't a break from school. It's where Rayots discover what they're made of - resilience, collective effort, and the ability to lose well and show up the next day.
‍Skatepark · 25M Swimming Pool · Climbing wall · 200M track · Basketball · Football

Academics
The IB is the framework. Raya is what happens inside it - inquiry-led, discussion-heavy, and built around questions that don't always have a single right answer.

Arts
The stage, the studio, the screen - spaces designed for expression to become a discipline, not just an outlet.
Performing arts · Visual arts · Music · Literature · Film · Creative writing‍

Innovation
In practice, that means real materials, real constraints, and real problems.
The Atelier, robotics lab, and design studio are where the habit gets built - iterative, hands-on, and always asking whether it actually works.
Atelier · Design thinking · Makerspace · Robotics · Entrepreneurship · 3d printing

Belonging
Every Rayot joins one of four tribes - Kazan, Moana, Rann, Skog - from day one. It's how a new student stops being new, and how the school competes, celebrates, and looks out for its own.

Wellbeing
Counselling is built into the school day, not bolted onto it. When a child needs more - academically or emotionally - the support is already here.

The Raya way

Indoor circular atrium with large tree, surrounding staircases, and three people near the base.

A school that teaches and learns

Most schools think they're finished the day they open. We're not. We change what isn't working, keep what is - and we'll tell you honestly which is which.

A playground of discovery

Understanding beats memorising. Here, subjects don't stay on the page - they get built, tested, and argued until they mean something.

A celebration of individuality

No two students arrive the same, and none should leave the same. We help a child become more themselves, not less.

A Campus that invites adventure

Sport, arts, making - and 9 acres to do it on. Children here are trusted to try things a little bigger than they are.

A standing invitation to think freely

The aim isn't a child who follows instructions. It's one who can question them. Our teachers live that, not just teach it.

Quick facts about Raya

1:12 - Student–teacher ratio

9 - Acres of campus

Every building curved, every line deliberate. The campus is part of the education, not just where it happens.

29+  Sports offered

From the skatepark to the 25-metre pool to the track. Movement is part of the day, not an add-on.

450 - seat auditorium

Where students perform, present, and learn to hold a room. Every Rayot gets a stage - this is the biggest one.
Indoor circular courtyard with a tree, staircase, and students sitting and walking inside a school building.

PYP, MYP, and DP: one continuum, ages 3 to 18.

Frequently asked questions

What curriculum does Raya follow?

Raya is an IB Continuum school - authorised for the Primary Years (PYP), Middle Years (MYP), and Diploma (DP) programmes. One framework all the way through, built around understanding, not memorising.

What grades and ages do you take?

From Early Years through Grade 12 - ages 3 to 18.

How big are your classes?

A maximum of 24 students per class, two sections per grade, and a student–teacher ratio of 1:12. Small enough that no child stays anonymous.

Are laptops or tablets required?

Tablets are provided and teacher-supervised in the Primary Years. From the Middle Years up, students use the school's IT labs and bring a laptop for specific work - phones stay out of the way of learning.

Do you support children who learn differently?

Yes. We start with the child, not the syllabus, and add learning support where it's needed. Tell us about your child and we'll be honest about how we can help.

How do you look after safety and wellbeing?

Counselling is built into the school day, with an on-campus infirmary, nurse, and ambulance access. On safety: CCTV, trained security, separate academic blocks, and a child protection committee.

What happens beyond the classroom?

A great deal — 29+ sports, visual and performing arts, and the Atelier, our design and fabrication studio. None of it is treated as an extra; it's part of how students learn here.

What's on the campus?

9 acres of it: India's largest school skatepark, a climbing wall, a 25-metre pool, an athletics track, a 450-seat auditorium, art and music studios, and the Atelier.

What's the food like?

Made on campus, designed around real nutrition, and eaten in an indoor and semi-outdoor dining space. Food here isn't an afterthought.

Do you offer transport?

Yes - air-conditioned buses with GPS and a safety warden, covering routes across Bangalore.

What are your timings and term dates?

The school day runs roughly 8:30am–3:30pm, on a two-term year from August to June.

What does it cost, and what's included?

Annual tuition varies by programme. Siblings receive a fee reduction, and scholarships - academic, sport, and art - are available at the Diploma level.

Where are you, and how do I visit?

We're on Hennur Bagalur Road, North Bangalore, a short drive from the international airport. The best way to know if Raya is right for your child is to see it - fill the form and we'll arrange a visit.

Where the city ends, the campus begins.

Raya sits on the northern edge of Bangalore, in Bagalur - far enough out for green and quiet, close enough to reach. The international airport is a short drive, with the city's malls, cinemas, and culture not far beyond.
